This round of experimentation was brought about while playing with ideas for plant-themed artwork I was gifting. This gave me opportunity to use my stencils, various texture tools, and different types of paper. I ended up spending a few days playing more than working.
When it comes to art, I often feel I focus too much on the end result before I even begin. I had scolded myself for slacking off on the project instead of buckling down and working on it. But after some more playtime, I begin felt less guilty because in the interim it was bringing out other ideas to try.
For page 8, I had some fun playing with stencils, and for page 9, texture and spreading tools. Once I assembled these in the journal, it reminded me of my graphic design classes where the teachers would begin classes by having us sketch out 15-30 thumbnail ideas for an ad. One day it might be food-related, another day automotive, and on another pet products, etc.
