Made PROUDLY with MS Paint
As a child, I used to create in my mind some of the weirdest visions. Some of them may have landed me as a patient at a behavioral health center had they made their way onto paper and found by adults – vivid scenes, outlandish creatures, unreal adventures. As an adult, the world has changed dramatically. There are rules and boundaries – what’s allowed, what’s not; how to act, how not to act. Not that all rules are bad, but as time goes on, it seems like there are more of them and some potentially inhibit our creativity.
They say there is a time and place for everything. When it’s time to create, I believe all the rules should be thrown out and we should be allowed to act like kids again. Maintain the wonder we had as children, look at everything and everyone as continuously intriguing. As kids, we asked questions to figure out how the world works. Adulthood should not stop us from doing that. We should allow our creativity to continue to reinvent itself like children learning about the world – they don’t know that they’re not supposed to do certain things. Break the rules – responsibly. Go ahead, play King Of The Hill with your creativity!
