The heat is on! Spring warmth is ready to turn into summer broil. This is the time of year we mostly hole up for the summer and focus on our creative ventures. However, rumor has it we may have an active monsoon season this year, which Alex and I are hoping will happen. It’s been several years since we’ve had good storms to chase. Getting out is always a good thing, and I think our pups would also enjoy the adventure as well!

Best thing that happened in my world this month:
This month has brought inspiration from myriad sources. I signed up for a digital art summit, discovered new artists as well as new methods to experiment with. Alex and I had conversations filled with new ideas for our creative ventures, and we committed to being more rigid with setting aside creative time in the evenings during the work week. Now that summer is upon us, it’s a great time put ideas to work!
On the Art Front
Most of my art is inspired by media – music lyrics; song titles; album art; TV shows/movies and their characters; movie scenes, etc. While I already have a few projects in various phases, this month I got inspiration for a new journal to throw into the mix. Here’s a sneak peek of sketched ideas. This will be a long-term undertaking for sure.

STUDIO REPORT is a round-up the past month’s highlights in my world! Given the chaotic times we are living in – and with more than plenty of places to debate & discuss – I choose to focus on finding positive things revolving around art, good things, and even a favorite random playlist.
